A striking Lorna Bailey Bauhaus teapot, combining bold geometric form with a wonderfully playful hand-painted design.
The distinctive triangular body features a stylised architectural landscape in warm orange and yellow, complemented by soft purple and green detailing and strong black outlines. An exaggerated angular spout and handle, together with the dramatic triangular finial, give the piece the sculptural quality for which Lorna Bailey pottery is so recognisable.
The Bauhaus name is particularly fitting for a design that plays so confidently with geometry, colour and architectural form. Bold enough to stand alone as a statement piece, it would also make a fabulous addition to a Lorna Bailey collection.
The piece is marked “Bauhaus” and signed Lorna Bailey to the base.
