A striking and unusual piece based on the designs of celebrated Scottish architect and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The tall architectural form is decorated in a dramatic palette of black and cream, punctuated by stylised dusky-pink Mackintosh roses.
The wonderfully sculptural stepped handle forms an important part of the design, with its black and cream geometric decoration echoing the strong lines of the jug itself. Standing approximately 23cm tall, this is an impressive statement piece with real presence.
The underside carries the Old Ellgreave Pottery backstamp, specifically stating “Based on the Designs of Charles Rennie Mackintosh”, and the piece is hand signed Lorna Bailey in blue, adding further collector interest.
