The warm orange foreground is contrasted with red, yellow, blue and deep plum tones, all defined by the bold black outlines characteristic of Lorna Bailey's distinctive work.
The charger is hand signed “Lorna Bailey” and titled “Chetwynd” to the front, while the reverse carries the Old Ellgreave Pottery – Lorna Bailey Range – Hand Painted – Burslem England backstamp.
