A striking contemporary ceramic vase by Otto Keramik, Germany, in the distinctive 206L form.
Finished in a vivid orange glaze with dramatic dark Fat Lava detailing flowing across the upper body and neck. The heavily textured volcanic surface contrasts beautifully with the smoother orange glaze below, creating the bold, individual character for which Otto Keramik is known.
Founded in Germany in the 1960s, Otto Keramik became known for sculptural forms and experimental glazes associated with the West German pottery movement. Production continues today using many of the original forms and distinctive glazing techniques.
Due to the nature of the glazing process, variations in colour, texture and glaze are part of the character of each piece, making every example unique.
