A wonderfully characterful vintage ceramic giraffe, modelled in a relaxed seated pose with an extraordinarily long neck and a rather endearing expression.
Finished in a rich glossy amber-brown glaze with dark mottled markings, the simple stylised form gives it a distinctly mid-century feel. From the little horns and outstretched ears to the tucked-under legs, it's an unusual decorative piece with plenty of personality.
The maker is unknown, but that didn't stop this particular giraffe catching the Craw's eye. A fun addition to a collection of vintage ceramics or simply a quirky statement piece for a shelf or sideboard.
